Week 5, Term 1

On Tuesday Jane came to our school to talk to us about Purple Cake Day and what we are raising money for. We felt a bit sad hearing about the lives of children that live in such poverty. We talked about needs and wants. Many of these children don't even have the basic needs such as, clean water, food or shelter. We are going to raise money to help these children.

Purple Cake Day was a lot of fun. We had our faces painted, bought cup cakes and lemonade, played on our scooters at lunch time and listened to the beautiful voices of Nelson Central Choir.
